Camp Mitiog is staffed with 24/7 volunteer registered nurses, many of whom have worked in pediatrics for
most of their nursing careers. We also have a nurse educator who teaches a Camp Nursing summer
course, and her students assist the nursing staff during camp as part of their course requirement. We
are very comfortable with doing bowel and bladder programs and minor wound care needs that are
outlined in your Camp Health Form. Camp Nursing staff members are with campers at all meals and
many of the class activities during the day. Medications are provided at meal times and at special times
if ordered by your medical provider. Nurses are assigned to each cabin and routinely see each camper
as often as needed to meet their medical needs.
